CADET  LEADERSHIP

Cadet Director (CDIR) Cheyenne Wilson is a dedicated high school student with a heart for leadership and a mind for justice. She embodies resilience, integrity, and compassion in her leadership style, as she believes in leading with empathy and understanding; always striving to create an environment where others feel valued and heard. Whether in the classroom, the boxing ring, or the great outdoors, CDIR Wilson approaches every challenge with determination and a deep sense of purpose.

CDIR Wilson is not only a compassionate leader but also a high achieving student. She maintains a rigorous academic schedule while simultaneously honing her leadership skills. As a student of South Lake High School's graduating class of 2027, she aims to mark her high school career by earning both her high school diploma with a scholar designation and her Associate’s degree. CDIR Wilson is a proud member of her high school student government, Future Farmers of America, Mu Alpha Theta math honor society, and serves as executive officer of her high school Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps marksmanship team.

Cheyenne dedicates much of her free time to serving others, giving over 150 hours of community service in her high school tenure so far. She is a fierce opponent of bullying and has made it her mission to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. As cadet director of TRU-Leaders Academy, Cheyenne works to instill emotional strength and confidence in her fellow leaders, ensuring that all of them know they have someone who believes in them. These views are what fuel Cheyenne’s aspirations of becoming a Marine Corps JAG attorney or an FBI Forensics Crime Scene Investigator.

Cheyenne is also an accomplished athlete. One way that she channels her discipline and mental fortitude is through the sport of boxing where she has found an innate ability to focus, persevere, and push through adversity. Beyond competition, Cheyenne finds fulfillment in being outdoors and working with animals and livestock. Her hobbies include art and reading, and she envisions a future with a beautiful family, lots of animals, and having her own farm.
